Thanks for submitting the Information Clearing House masthead. ICH is one of my primary sources of information and analysis. If I had any money to spare at all I would send them some Even small donations will be greatly appreciated.

That said the trope “end the wars” is an extremely weak approach to what we, as a species on the ropes of extinction by our own hands, are being forced to deal with. It is entirely analogous to the nearly universal error of recognizing only symptoms and ignoring the underlying disease. The disease in this case is heartlessness. War is a symptom of that disease. Granted it continues to be useful to try to suppress warfare, as it is sometimes useful to apply symptomatic treatment to the sick, as in making attempts to lower fevers, but unless we are willing to attack the underlying causes of warfare, the heartlessness that overtakes those indoctrinated to privilege, the contempt for truth and justice that develops in the context of ruthless competition, the violent insanity of the emotionally damaged, AND BE WILLING TO DO THIS WHERE WE LIVE, we are on a fools errand and we have no future worth worrying about.

Guard too against the inner emotional demons that breed angry resentment, hopelessness and fear. Fearful people are the artifacts of a system of injustice. Fearful people, as opposed to those who express objective fears and seek remedies, are closed off from happiness. Only those who can defeat their inner demons can hope to confront the external demons that afflict us.

So, be happy or else!
