This is dedicated to the DDR Carpet Baggers for their plane ride home to Ohio and Texas

This made me laugh, and then I thought… Bold. Presumptuous. I’m too superstitious to count my chickens before they’ve hatched, especially in a place where 70% of the votes are mail-in and still only a small percentage of people can manage to vote (you don’t even have to go to the polls, how easy do we have to make it for them?).

And they’ll still be here, DDR that is. They own the land, right? What will be their next bold move, or ours for that matter?

I remember the morning after the gubernatorial coup d’etat, I was confident saying to myself, “no f@#&ing idiot in their right mind would vote for Schwarzenegger (why is that name listed in my auto spell check?) for a public office,” and stopping in my tracks as I passed the newspaper box. Doh!

It ain’t over until the voters vote, and then still it ain’t over.

No rest for the wicked.

I’ve got my fingers crossed Dave. I hope you are right. Very generous of you to offer the Carpet Baggers a book for the ride home.
